Filling Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 cups (280g) rotisserie chicken, shredded and chopped
- 1 cup (113g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup (113g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup (84g) buffalo sauce
Pastry and Toppings
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Ranch dressing, for drizzling
- Extra buffalo sauce, for drizzling
- Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and aid in easy cleanup.
- Make the Buffalo Chicken Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded rotisserie chicken, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and buffalo sauce. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly incorporated. Set this mixture aside.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry into a 9×12-inch rectangle, making it ready to hold the filling evenly.
- Fill and Roll the Pastry: Spread the buffalo chicken filling evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Tightly roll the pastry into a log, carefully sealing the edges to prevent filling from oozing out. Slice the log into 1-inch pieces to create individual roll-ups.
- Bake the Roll-Ups: Place the sliced roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to ensure a golden, shiny finish. Bake them in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown. For extra warmth and oozy goodness, optionally top with additional buffalo chicken mixture and bake for another 6 to 8 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once baked, drizzle the roll-ups with extra buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. Garnish with chopped parsley to add freshness and a pop of color. Serve these delicious appetizers warm.
