Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast
- 6 slices deli ham, halved
- 6 slices Swiss cheese, halved
Mayonnaise Mixture
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Butter Topping
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent the sliders from sticking.
- Assemble Bottom Layer: Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping all rolls attached, and place the bottom half in the prepared dish evenly.
- Mix Mayonnaise Spread: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom buns to add flavor and moisture.
- Add Chicken and Toppings: Evenly distribute the cooked shredded chicken over the mayo layer. Then add the halved ham slices followed by the halved Swiss cheese on top of the chicken.
- Top the Sliders: Place the top half of the slider buns over the layered ingredients, covering the filling completely.
- Prepare Butter Glaze: In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and dried parsley.
- Brush and Bake: Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the slider buns. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Finish Baking: Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Serve: Let the sliders cool slightly before slicing into individual portions and serving warm.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and enhanced flavor.
- For a crispier top, bake uncovered during the last 5 minutes.
- Sliders can be assembled ahead of time, covered, and refrigerated until ready to bake.
