Description

Delicious and easy Cheeseburger Bowls featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, and a flavorful copycat Big Mac sauce. Ready in just 35 minutes, these bowls offer all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger without the bun, making for a satisfying low-carb meal perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 Tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Burger and Toppings

  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • Cooked potato wedges or French fries
  • Sliced red onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, minced onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate to allow flavors to meld while you prepare the rest.
  2. Cook the Burger: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add diced white onion along with the ground beef. Cook, breaking up and crumbling the beef with a spatula, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease to keep it lean.
  3. Season the Beef: Reduce heat to low. Season the cooked beef and onions with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir well and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked burger mixture equally among four medium-sized bowls. Top each bowl with chopped romaine lettuce, freshly grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, dill pickles, and optionally sliced red onion.
  5. Add Big Mac Sauce and Serve: Drizzle each bowl generously with the prepared Big Mac sauce. Serve the bowls alongside cooked potato wedges or French fries for a complete cheeseburger experience without the bun. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • The Big Mac sauce can be made ahead and stored refrigerated for up to one week.
  • Use lean ground beef (90% lean or higher) to reduce excess grease.
  • Feel free to swap cheddar for your favorite cheese like American or pepper jack.
  • Add more or less Worcestershire sauce according to preference.
  • For a low-carb option, skip the potato wedges/fries or replace with roasted vegetables.
  • Optional sliced red onion adds a nice sharp bite but can be omitted if preferred.
