Description

This Easy Beef Ramen Skillet is a quick and delicious one-pan meal combining lean ground beef, fresh stir-fry vegetables, and flavorful beef ramen noodles in a savory broth seasoned with soy sauce and ginger. Ready in just 25 minutes, this recipe is perfect for busy weeknights when you want a comforting and satisfying dinner with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Vegetables

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (12-ounce) package fresh stir-fry vegetables

Broth and Seasoning

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 (3-ounce) packages beef flavored ramen noodles (use 1 seasoning packet)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, brown the lean ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease from the pan to keep the dish light and prevent greasiness.
  2. Add Vegetables: Return the skillet to the heat and add the fresh stir-fry vegetables to the cooked beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables start to soften but still retain some crunch.
  3. Prepare Broth Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the beef broth, soy sauce, ground ginger, and one packet of the ramen seasoning mix. Stir well to dissolve the seasoning thoroughly. Discard or save the second seasoning packet for another use.
  4. Cook Noodles and Combine: Pour the broth mixture into the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Bring the mixture to a boil. Roughly break up the ramen noodles and add them to the skillet. Stir gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  5. Simmer and Finish: Reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until the noodles are tender and the vegetables are cooked to your desired texture. Serve the ramen skillet hot immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce the fat content.
  • Feel free to substitute fresh stir-fry vegetables with frozen or your favorite mixes.
  • If you prefer spicier ramen, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • Leftover seasoning packets can be saved for other ramen or soups.
  • For a healthier twist, use low-sodium beef broth and reduced-sodium soy sauce.
