Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
- 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey
Optional Garnishes
- 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (for rimming the glass)
- Cinnamon Sugar (for rimming the glass)
- Red Apple Slices
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Whole Star Anise
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rim: Pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate and dip the rim of your serving glass into it, gently moistening the rim to help the cinnamon sugar stick.
- Coat the Rim: Spread cinnamon sugar on a separate clean plate and roll the wet rim of the glass in it to create a flavorful cinnamon-sugar crust.
- Add Fireball Whiskey: Carefully pour 2 ounces of Fireball Whiskey into the glass, being cautious not to disturb or wash away the cinnamon sugar rim.
- Pour Hot Apple Cider: Add 5 ounces of hot apple cider to the glass. The warmth of the cider will help blend the flavors naturally without stirring.
- Garnish with Apple Slices: Arrange three thinly sliced red apple pieces fan-style on a cocktail pick, resting the top of the pick on the rim towards the front and slightly to one side.
- Finish Garnishing: Place a cinnamon stick inside the glass on the opposite side of the apple fan, then add a couple of whole star anise pods into the drink. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Use fresh hot apple cider for the best flavor—heat it gently to avoid boiling.
- The cinnamon sugar rim adds extra sweetness and spice, but you can omit it if you prefer a less sweet drink.
- Adjust the Fireball Whiskey quantity to taste if you want a stronger or lighter drink.
- Garnishes not only enhance presentation but also add aroma and slight flavor notes.
- This drink is ideal for fall and holiday gatherings to warm up chilly evenings.
