Description

These Energy Bites are a nutritious and delicious no-bake snack packed with oats, nut butter, seeds, dried fruits, and spices. Perfect for a quick energy boost, they are easy to make and customizable to your taste preferences.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1 tablespoon protein powder or hemp seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin spice)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or sunflower seed butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried fruits (chopped apricots, cranberries, or raisins)
  • 1/4 cup nuts (chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon superfood powders (matcha, maca, or spirulina)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the rolled oats, chia seeds or flaxseeds, protein powder or hemp seeds, spices, mini dark chocolate chips, dried fruits, nuts, and superfood powders until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. If the nut butter is too stiff, warm it slightly to make mixing easier.
  3. Mix Until Combined: Use a spatula or your hands to blend all ingredients evenly. Ensure the mixture is sticky enough to hold its shape but not overly wet. Adjust with a small amount of additional nut butter or honey if necessary.
  4. Form the Bites: Scoop out small portions with a spoon and roll them between your palms to form bite-sized balls about one inch in diameter for perfect snacking.
  5. Chill and Set: Place the energy bites on a lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize add-ins according to preference or dietary restrictions.
  • Store energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a vegan alternative, use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • You can freeze the energy bites for up to 3 months; thaw in the refrigerator before eating.
