Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough and Seasonings
- 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough (homemade pizza dough works perfectly too)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt (or garlic powder as a substitute)
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning (or dried oregano as an alternative)
Fillings
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (cheddar cheese can be used as a substitute)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (optional)
- 1 cup Pepperoni (diced bell peppers work wonderfully for a vegetarian version)
Dipping Sauce
- 1 cup Marinara Sauce (or ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet to prevent sticking.
- Roll Dough: Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- Season Dough: Sprinkle garlic salt and Italian seasoning evenly over the surface of the dough.
- Add Fillings: Spread the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses along with the diced pepperoni evenly on the dough, leaving about ½ inch around the edges clear.
- Form Roll: Starting from one short end, tightly roll the dough into a log, then pinch the seam to seal it securely.
- Slice Rolls: Using a serrated knife or pizza cutter, slice the log into 1-inch thick sections.
- Arrange and Bake: Place the pizza rolls cut-side up on the greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Serve the hot pizza rolls with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- You can substitute pepperoni with diced bell peppers to make a vegetarian version.
- If parmesan cheese is unavailable, it can be omitted without significantly affecting flavor.
- Try ranch dressing or other dipping sauces as alternatives to marinara.
- Ensure dough is rolled evenly to avoid uneven baking.
- Use a serrated knife for clean slicing of the dough log.
