- 2 large eggs
Pie Crust

- Cool Whip or whipped topping, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the pumpkin pie.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the entire can of pumpkin pie mix with 5 ounces of evaporated milk and 2 large eggs. Stir gently until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Prepare the Pie Shell: Place the unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie shell on a baking sheet to catch any drips and make handling easier.
- Fill the Pie Shell: Pour the prepared pumpkin filling into the unbaked pie shell, spreading it evenly with a spatula to the edges.
- Bake the Pie: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 425°F. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes more, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Cool the Pie: Remove the pie from the oven and cool on a wire rack. Let the pie cool completely to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set properly.
- Serve: Serve each slice topped with a dollop of Cool Whip or your favorite whipped topping for extra creaminess and sweetness.
