Ingredients
Scale
For the Oreo Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies: Crushed into fine crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter: Melted
For the Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese: Softened to room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip): Thawed
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup whipped topping
- Chocolate syrup (optional)
- Crushed Oreos (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Oreo Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish, using the back of a measuring cup or your fingers to compact it tightly. Refrigerate the crust to set while preparing the filling.
- Make the Peanut Butter Filling: Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then mix until fully combined. Gently fold in the whipped topping, being careful to maintain its fluffiness and incorporate evenly.
- Assemble the Pie: Remove the chilled Oreo crust from the refrigerator. Spoon the peanut butter filling into the crust and spread it evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top for an even layer.
- Chill the Pie: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours or until the filling is set properly.
- Add the Topping: Once set, spread the remaining 1/2 cup of whipped topping over the top of the pie. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with crushed Oreos to garnish.
- Serve and Enjoy: Slice the pie and serve chilled. Enjoy the perfect combination of creamy peanut butter and crunchy Oreo flavors!
