Description

This Texas Roadhouse Salmon recipe features tender and flavorful salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and savory mixture of brown sugar, soy sauce, butter, and spices. Perfectly baked to flaky perfection, it’s an easy and delicious main dish that pairs well with your favorite sides.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until you have a smooth, well-combined glaze.
  3. Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the glaze evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  4. First Bake: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 8 minutes to start cooking and setting the glaze.
  5. Second Glaze and Bake: Remove the salmon from the oven and brush on the remaining glaze. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the cooked salmon rest for 2 minutes after baking. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a fresh, herbal aroma and taste.

Notes

  • Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption.
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent salmon from sticking to the baking sheet.
  • Adjust glaze ingredients to balance sweetness and saltiness according to your preference.
  • For more smoky flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
  • Salmon fillets can vary in thickness, so check doneness early to avoid overcooking.
